Testnet-only wallet

Chipcoin Testnet Wallet

A browser wallet for the Chipcoin public testnet only. It is used for development, faucet testing, node testing, and transaction visibility on testnet.

Testnet-only

The wallet targets the Chipcoin public testnet. It is not a mainnet wallet and should not be used for mainnet funds.

No monetary value

Testnet CHC is for testing only. It has no monetary value and is not represented as an investment or payment asset.

No trading

The wallet does not include exchange, swap, fiat on-ramp, market, or trading functionality.

No third-party assets

The wallet does not support third-party tokens, NFTs, external assets, or asset listings.

Wallet Screens

The wallet interface labels the active network as Testnet.

These screenshots show the public testnet endpoint and the active network label in the wallet UI. They are included to make the browser wallet scope clear for users and browser review.

Scope

The wallet exists to test Chipcoin public testnet flows.

Its purpose is narrow: create or import a local testnet wallet, show a CHC address, read testnet balance and transaction data, and submit testnet transactions through the configured Chipcoin testnet API endpoint.

What it does

  • Create a local Chipcoin testnet wallet.
  • Recover a wallet from a recovery phrase.
  • Import a private key for testing.
  • Read testnet balance, history, and UTXO data.
  • Submit signed testnet transactions.

What it does not do

  • No mainnet funds.
  • No custody service.
  • No buying, selling, swapping, or trading.
  • No fiat conversion or price display.
  • No third-party assets or token listings.

Public test flow

Install the wallet, create a testnet address, request faucet funds, then verify the transaction in the explorer.

Network Labels

User-facing wallet material should clearly identify the active network.

Public install and wallet pages now describe the wallet as testnet-only. Any future screenshots, release notes, or browser-store material should show the active network label clearly and avoid language that implies monetary value, trading, or third-party assets.

Testnet

The public user path uses the current Chipcoin testnet, faucet, explorer, and wallet-safe API.

Devnet

Devnet remains an internal or fallback development network, not the public wallet onboarding path.

Documentation rule

Wallet documentation should state the network explicitly wherever install, balance, faucet, or transaction flows are described.

Use the wallet safely

Install the wallet only for Chipcoin testnet use.

Use the browser wallet instructions for setup, the faucet for testnet coins, and the explorer for independent transaction visibility.
